Has adequate off street vehicular housing been included, 1 car per bedroom and 2 from the master. Consideration should be taken for possible boat, caravan, box trailer, jet sky, etc. Our local streets and roads are already very congested and kerbs full.
All recent comments on applications from The Hills Shire Council, NSW
How did this school get approval for this highrise building backing so close and high along 12 local houses? One such house behind at 7 Bellemarie recently had to be removed from sale as is devalued by minimum 200k - 400k now. In fact who wants to live with the school behind in their back yard so high and the gold lit up cross in your face all night. The cross on the school and the block lights up the whole of Harrington Ave at night. I do not know how people living next to this can sleep at night. Where has all the back yard privacy gone for these houses along Bellemarie?
The new kiss and drop is going to be a nightmare with another 200+ cars lining up at end of day. Bad Now, any plans to fix or have own lane here? Is there going to be any traffic management, people park at line up across my driveway at 3pm every day, hard to get into my own garage.
What is the plan for those poor people in Bellemarie, i'm not there but i feel for them and their now unsaleable properties, unless at a price. Does no one check up on these things?
Drive down Bordeax behind Harrington towards Bellemarie and see the school poke above the two storey houses, is a disgrace for locals in the suburbs.
Will allowances be included with the increased children for vehicular drop-off & pick-up???
Will this development take into consideration the already vehicular congestion and the already full kerb parking? Comprehensive off-street vehicular housing should be included, including the possibility for, caravans, boats, box trailers, etc in all development proposals.
This seems to be a business development so I just hope the design will provide for adequate off street vehicular parking. Our local streets, roads and kerbs are already very congested.
I have to ask if vehicular housing is inclusive in the approval process? Each bedroom has the potential for a car with 2 for the master. Also room should be made for the possibility of a box trailer, jet ski, boat, caravan, etc. The local roads & streets & kerbs are already congested.
Are we able to subdivide rural blocks now ? This is not keeping with the rural character yet what would that matter with a non complying cafe and greenhouse that council won’t comment on
The proposed planning establishment at 86 Kenthurst Road, Kenthurst will greatly benefit the local community. The potential to revitalise a currently derelict property and transform it into a functional and welcoming cafe or coffee shop is a great idea. Not only would it serve as a much-needed social hub, but its proximity to Hills Grammar School, sporting facilities, and ample parking also make it an ideal location for parents, players, and community members to gather and connect.
The added advantage of easy vehicular access, with a large driveway and roundabout, enhances safety, ensuring smooth traffic flow and minimizing the risk of accidents. Additionally, the opportunity for parents to socialize during school drop-offs and pick-ups, and for sports teams to meet before and after matches, would undoubtedly foster a stronger sense of community.
All in all, this development could become an integral part of the neighborhood, offering both convenience and a place for people to interact and build connections.
I would like to comment on the proposed cafe, at 86 Kenthurst Road, Kenthurst.
I am all for this, it's a great position and definitely needed. The area is still growing,
and people like myself, like to get out and about, catch up with friends over a coffee etc.,
and a chat, it's what keeps us connected. The position is perfect, there is a bus stop,
close by, and waiting for mechanical repairs on my car, at the service station, I can enjoy
a sit down, with a coffee and a snack. I am all for this proposal and happy to back it all the way.
Great Idea
I would greatly appreciate a cafe as a grandmother with grandchildren at the school nearby this building has been looking like a eyesore anew cafe would be fantastic as it is close to the school to have social time with other mother / grandparents and with being close proximity.
Kenthurst is growing rapidly we need to grow with the times this is what people want I grew up in kenthurst
This would be lovely addition as round corner is becoming to busy
It is the perfect location for a cafe
Thank you
Will the additional block still allow provision for vehicular off-street parking, remembering for each bedroom the potential for 1 vehicle and 2 for the master. Also there could be caravans, Box trailers, boats etc. Our local roads kerbs are already full.
As this is on a bad bend on Pitt Town Road and with the build up of traffic coming through from Box Hill, etc. this would be a very dangerous site for cars entering and exiting.
It is very bad now with the school traffic to and from Hills Grammar blocking the roundabout at Annangrove without more traffic from this proposed development. Also young children can be very unpredictable and could run out on to this busy road. Parents’ nightmare!
Just an alternate to removal of a swimming pool:- Convert it into an underground rainwater storage tank:- Empty 800mm of water and using a spray paint, squirt the paint along the lower water level to give a level cut line:- Empty the pool water:- Cut along the level paint line to a depth of 50mm:- Chop the wall top off:- Connect pool pump and property stormwater pipes back through the tank walls for later connection:- Form up and concrete a top over the cut down pool walls to structural engineers details:- I used metal decking, timber sheet form ply could be difficult to remove through the man hole (access opening) Strip form-work:- Connect to pool pump inlet pipes and run to deep end of pool (tank) put a foot valve at end:- Outlet of pool pump; run pipes to over above ground storage tank:- Fill concrete tank top with soil (seek out free soil, pool installers have to get rid of there excavated soil) Grass over or garden. If you wish:- the chopped concrete wall bits can be sent to "Concrete recycle'rs: or just left in the tank bottom (this will limit the amount of water storage)
It would be useful to be advised on how you’ll manage traffic entering Aitken Rd from Hill Rd on any given weekday. After 7:30am it’s a carpark and can take 45minutes to travel 5kms. There is also a huge issue with water run off from this site which the recent stormwater installation has not fixed. Also it would be courteous if the developers and sub-contractors advised the neighbours of their work hours. Currently excavation is happening from 7:00am until after 5:00pm which is contributing to extra noise.
Will the changes to the property include adequate vehicular off street parking???
The shadow this house casts on the neighboring property is ridiculous. The land is already 1m higher due to the retaining wall and adding a giant, flat-roofed property on top of it will completely black out all light. Surely this proposal cannot be approved.
Will adequate vehicular off street parking be part of the development approval? Our local roads and streets are already very congested with kerb side cars parked; also caravans; box trailers; etc.
Great use of the land; BUT I hope adequate vehicular accommodation will be included in the construction.
Our street and road kerbs are fully occupied with parked cars; boats; caravans etc already and therefore all new developments should include adequate off street vehicular parking.
Remember for every person living on a property there is the possibility that they will have a vehicle. each bedroom one vehicle plus two for the master.
I hope this development (like all others) will have adequate off street vehicular housing & parking. This should include the possibility of they having a caravan; box trailer or a boat. Our local roads and streets are already fully congested with kerb side parking restricting the flow of traffic. So all future developments should ensure adequate, off street vehicle parking.
Hoping that adequate vehicular off-street parking will be incorporated within the development application. Our local streets and roads are already very congested and herb parking is fully occupied by cars. boats box trailers and caravans etc
Hoping there will be adequate future vehicular off-road parking and housing.
I hope consideration will be given to vehicular off-street parking; one vehicle per bedroom and two for the master; plus the possibility of accommodation for a caravan; box trailer; or a jet sky;
Our local roads and streets are already congested limiting through passage.
AND I hope; adequate off-street vehicular accommodation. For each bedroom there would be at least one human possibly wanting a vehicle; two for the master bedroom; PLUS the possibility of there being a caravan; box trailer; jet shy;
Our local roads and streets are already choked with the overflow of vehicles, restricting the through passage; Councils should be taking this problem into consideration when approving all developments.
I have a disability parking permit. The number of places are already limited and often taken up with Fitness gym participants. (Which I find amazing... seeing they are after fitness... but want the shortest distance to walk to the facility).
Don't why Council is wanting approval NOW when they have already put a fencing screen up which includes thee disability car parking spaces.
Weekends can be difficult to find a parking spot and there is limited or no street parking. Was the shopping centre approved with the minimal no. of parking bays to meet approval? If that is the case at least dozen spots have been lost with the recycling centre and car wash business. Bad planning, I would suggest, especially as the suburb is still developing.
I personally feel having a big bubble tea shop right in the middle of already small shopping canter is a crazy idea. Isn’t there are better location within the centre they can do this, why do we need to rent out a walking area, what about is there are an emergency event? How safety can you can get all the shopper in Woolworth out without running into each other? This is a wrong location to add another “shop” s such.
The massage shop has gone to about using that?
