Our previous unit failed in 2025 and was replaced in a new location. Council has advised that this location is not the DA-approved position. The approved location is occupied by a neighbouring tenant’s hot water system, so the replacement unit was installed approximately 1.5m above it. The current location has generated noise complaints, and an acoustic assessment confirms it exceeds permitted noise levels. Relocating the unit to the roof, where it was located before replacement, would achieve compliance.
