Vehicle Sales or Hire Premises (alterations and additions) and Business Identification Signage

Having a car sales outlet on this site again & so close to town does not coincide with Councils approval of a motel & plans to make the old DPI building into shops and cafes making it an inviting shopping precinct.

Shop top housing (5x neighbourhood shops and 59 residential apartments) and two Residential Flat Buildings comprising a total of 43 apartments

The traffic congestion that is already present in this area has been a topic for councillors and residents of Orange for some time. This development application would only further congest traffic, and most definitely does not suit with the surrounding residential housing. Putting such a high density development in this area will only have a negative affect with traffic, current investment prices and crime. There are already 21 units a daycare centre and a medical centre being constructed within meters of this proposal, with parking concerns already observed during the construction period!!

We don’t think that approving so many apartments is a good idea. The shops would be welcome but so many apartments will lead to more traffic and higher density housing may have a negative impact on the neighbourhood.

Subdivision (216 lots - comprising 207 residential lots, one neighbourhood centre lot, one residue lot and a number of public reserves including proposed reserves (Lots 65, 214 and 215) and Conditional reserves (Lots 6, 11 ,12 and 76)

This development does not suit the feel of this area. This a rural residential area with rolling hills and sweeping views. Residents purchased properties here in line with that feel. Creating a roof city here will ruin that and de-value many properties in the area as the views and the rural community feel will be affected.

We do not want a low cost housing development in our area and feel it will be detrimental to the overall look of the area. The values of existing properties will be downgraded with the development. We purchased in the area due to the large sections and the peacefull community feel that goes with. The investors need to look elsewhere where there is already low cost housing and not damage the look of the area with high density housing.
