11 Ocean Ridge Drive Way Way NSW 2447
Caravan Park including 255 long term sites, 2 short term sites and associated facilities

I write to you today as I wish it to be known that I am very strongly opposed to the idea of the development of an "Caravan park" at Scotts Head.
I believe any development of this sort would be detrimental to the coastal village of Scotts head on many levels.

255 dwellings will swell the village population by up to 65%. This will greatly adversely effect the amenity of the Scotts Head locale, and impact negatively on those many people who purchased homes here to live in a quiet seaside village.
This development will overload existing public facilities and infrastructure.
Traffic and parking is already a problem in the village, particularly on weekends and holidays.
Medical facilities are already overloaded.
Water, Sewerage, rubbish collection and other services will need to be massively upgraded, but at who's expense?
The vast increase of traffic on the arterial and local roads will necessitate a great increase in maintenance funding. A cost to be met by ratepayers, not Ingenia's residents, as they pay no individual rates.
Access to the development property will require major engineering works, again at who's expense.
As land lease tenants pay no council rates, it will be left to the Nambucca ratepayers to foot these bills.
In the event of a bushfire, hasty evacuation of an extra 65% residents on the only road out could be a problem.
Not to mention the danger of so many people living surrounded so closely by bush.

When this Development Application comes before council, I urge you to reject it.

Respectfully
Mike Farrell

This DA application is not appropriate for the village of Scotts Head for many reasons.
1. Bush fires. Scotts Head is surrounded by bush. There is only one road in and out. The township has over 900 permanent residents, many elderly. The township expands to thousands in the holiday periods. If another 300 to 400 hundred elderly people were added due to this development, it would be extremely problematic for emergency services to evacuate so many more residents.
2. Floods. It is well documented that Australia will be experiencing more rain events due to climate change. Scotts Head is situated next to Warrell Creek which has flooded numerous times over the past few years. These floods have increased in water capacity, and areas along Scotts Head Road have flooded like never before. Again increasing the amount of residents will add stress to emergency services during these expected flood events.
3. Medical services. There is one local doctor in Scotts Head. Her books are closed. Where do all these extra residents go for medical attention? Rural medical services are stretched across NSW as it is.
4. Scotts Head Road. Scotts Head Road is not a safe road. It is in a constant state of disrepair. The alternate road for when it floods, Grassy Head Road is even worse. 300+ more cars on the road will be extremely problematic. Is Nambucca Valley Council prepared to put a road in that is safe for heavier traffic?
5. Water and sewerage. Will Scotts Heads water and sewerage supply be able to cope with 300+ more residents. It struggles through drought periods and when the numbers go up expediently during holiday periods. These services will not cope, again is NV Council prepared to increase the sewerage and water supply for Scotts Head?
6. Cultural sensitivity. Has this development application considered and consulted with the local Aboriginal community? The Gumbaynggirr and Dunguhtti people have very sensitive sites all over this coastal area. It would be disrespectful and incredibly insensitive if this consultation process has not occurred.
7. Parking and traffic. Scotts Head is not equipped now to handle excess cars in relation to parking and traffic flow, especially at the shops and beaches. Where will an extra 300+ cars park when coming into town to shop, have a coffee, go for a swim when this development is completed?
I am not in favour and object to this awful development application. Scotts Head is a very beautiful village. It has a wonderful sense of community due to its current size. It is one of the last remaining small coastal towns and to have a very large development occur in one foul swoop will change the town forever. Slow development allows a town to adjust and accommodate. Fast development will destroy the very nature of why people want to live in Scotts Head. Please don't let this development go ahead.

McLeod Drive Scotts Head NSW 2447
22 lot residential subdivision

I have no objection to the DA, but to the modification of the accessway through Gannett Drive.
Sandpiper/McLeod Drive were never designed to be a major thoroughfare for residents of Scotts Head.
They are designed around a sweeping bend, there are 2 turning circles/bays which include somewhat of a speed hump at each, cars are often parked each side making visibility poor, and children are often playing on them. This increases the danger within the area.
For these reasons it makes it not suitable for Gannett Drive to become the main access to half of Scotts Head which it will do should the original design be changed as per the updated DA.

you are a bunch of effing idiots !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NAMBUCCA HEADS is nowhere remotely near Gulmarrad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As far as sending or giving gifts to councillors - I wouldn't stoop as low - as the 'gifts' that flow between the state, fed governments & their 'mates' - and local councils - which I inform you - are NOT LOCAL GOVERNMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and WORSE !!!! You have missed every DA within my ENTIRE DISTRICT & not informed me. The flood plain is being steadily filled in & is the precise cause of the excessive flooding the north coast has experienced in the past month.
This makes your service - completely irrelevant, completely comprised, completely USELESS & completely responsible for the deaths, the losses, the devastation. State & federal governments - you've sold us out to the UN & their sedition against Australia.

Look forward to be able to use a reliable business in the area

I am in total support for David Bennetts application, I have been a client of Davids for many years whilst he had his mobile mechanical business. He is an excellent mechanic, and I can see no reason why he should not be permitted to continue conducting his business in an ideal rural setting.

I bought my property opposite with the understanding that the area was primarily residential and farming. Not industrial use.. I received no notification of the huge garage which went up opposite my very low key BnB. Was told by the owner he was only going to work on his own cars. It is now obviously a thriving business and not a HOME industry,There are now many cars parked there on a daily basis with subsequent coming and going. The shed is white with three large roller doors and large bright lights which I fortunately cannot see from my property. As this business, which was not supposed to be a business is now going forth with council approval, it would be appreciated if there could be some sort of enclosure sensitive to the colours of the environment including a tall entry structure to conceal the many vehicles which make it look like an industrial park.

Will there be parking inside the complex for the massage palour , as a lot of cars have been parking on Woodbell street near the corner on the grass making the pedestrians and mothers with prams walk on the road , then the cars reverse out backwards onto the road where it is a blind corner . There needs to be no parking signs erected to stop this

Seniors Housing

Dear members of Council,

I oppose to this application. Why?

Has anyone thought about how near the 2019/2020 bushfires came to Congarinni North and Macksville? For many years, this council escaped this type of natural hazard, but of course, it couldn't stay that way. And it didn't! With the current climate change and continuously rising temperatures, it will happen again! And you want to subject seniors to this type of hazard and horror?

Has anyone thought of the flooding that has happened over recent years? This too, will happen many times again! And what happens if emergency services can't get to these seniors during flooding? What if seniors can't go out for health appointments or grocery shopping? Again, you want to subject seniors to this type of hazard and horror? This development is too close to the river!

Is anyone thinking about the impact of the destruction of so many trees and habitat for our endangered, much loved flora and fauna species? Is anyone thinking about this council's part in climate change and the continuous threat to decent livelihoods? Every council, with all it's decisions on development, pollution and protection of green areas, plays a part in the continuous rising of global temperatures. So does this council!
The more trees that get destroyed, the more CO2 that gets released, the less creation of oxygen, the less creation of rain, the less help in cooling down the planet, the more natural hazards and the severeness of them and the more becoming extinct of our unique flora and fauna species. The lesser protection of citizens and their livelihoods who vote for members, believing or questioning that they will do what their job description tells them to do, is something not to be ignored either!

Should I mention the increase of traffic congestion and other problems in the proposed area?

Our reputation as a country and state that protects it's citizens and unique flora and fauna species, because it's proud of them, already went down the drain many years ago, and for some reason, no one wants to restore it, no one thinks it's necessary! Where has pride gone to? Australia, the lucky country...it no longer exists! Not for common citizens, and that's definitely not something to feel proud of!!

When will council take responsibility for it's actions, for citizen's livelihoods and for our unique flora and fauna? This council still hasn't declared a Climate Emergency, also something not to be proud of!! It makes many of us voters wonder: what is council so afraid of?

Dual occupancy and Tourist & Visitor Accommodation Continued Use

We are both happy to support Simon Lavery in his application for approval for his extension and also the use of the bus as an Airbnb.
Simon and his partner, Aureilie, are very community minded and are a great asset to Priory Pde.
Through their use of the bus as an Airbnb, they are bringing financial gains to the area and also supporting tourism in the Nambucca Valley.
His no animals policy is a great relief for us, given that we have to put up with 2 Jack Russells, barking frequently, from our other neighbours.
As we have a common boundary, to date, we have had no problems with anyone using the facilities at 33 Priory Pde.
We have never had any problems with noise and are very happy to support this application.
