AWAITING PAYMENT Development Application - 17 (Lot 813) Bygum Lane Martin - Commercial Vehicle Parking

This application looks like it is commercial enterprise to be run out of a rural property once again all business owners should be using commercial premises

AWAITING PAYMENT Development Application - 29 (Lot 571) Redheart Drive Thornlie - Change of Use to Holiday House

I am strongly opposed to more short term rentals/holiday homes in the area. It's hard enough for people to find homes, and if more houses turn into holiday accommodation there will be fewer houses and an increase in homelessness in our area. We have already seen an increase in the last year with people sleeping in cars and parks around Thornlie. Why make it worse?!

If people want accommodation that is what hotels/motels are for. A family home in the middle of the suburbs should be for families to live, not to make landlords even richer.

Development Application - 95 (Lot 41) Attfield Street Maddington - Two Grouped Dwellings (inc one existing)

It's good opportunity going to build new home. It's first home of the street at corner block, just opposite of traffic light, looks neat and tidy if building new house, instead of empty land and long grass on land.
Thank you

Development Application - 49 (Lot 17) Hayward Road Martin - Home Based Business (Assembly & Installation of Motor Vehicle Accessories)

49 Hayward Road wanting a permit to build a mechanical work shop as a commercial business on their rural zoned property
I strongly disagree as it is a commercial business they want to operate
Why do people think that Martin/ Orange Grove are perfect places to disrespect the rural ambience

Certified building permit - Childcare Centre Including Boundary Walls

The site is near a roundabout and typically parents drop off and pick up kids by parking on the side of the road due to convenience/ laziness/ lack of parking . This creates bottlenecks, interrupting the flow of passing two way traffic as they try to navigate around parked vehicles.
I hope there is sufficient off street parking and that no parking signs are erected on Streatham Street ( and enforced ) .

Certified building permit - Boundary Screen Wall and Shade Sails

Re: 16 Central Park Ave

Just wondering why there was the need to destroy the whole front garden to start rendering the front of the house? Is this part of some master plan to change the "face" of the house?

Certified building permit - Retail and Early Learning Centre (Base Build Construction)

ANOTHER Early Learning Centre?????
Are you kidding! Canning vale is becoming a joke amongst its OWN residents - we only seem to have child care centres, gyms, servos, optometrists in our suburb.
How disappointing.

Development application - 92 (Lot 901) Kenwick Road Kenwick - Additions to Educational Establishment (New Classrooms)

I thought that the last application made the property over developed to the limit.
How much more can they put on this site?
Where will the additional cars park?
It is already congested traffic and ilegal parking on Brixton street from 0800 to 0900 and 1440 to 1530.
More congestion on Brixton street will cause accidents with dangers to students from both schools.

Joint Development Application - 10 (Lot 146) Sheoak Road Maddington - Place of Worship and Community Purpose (additional uses)

I oppose this based on the fact it's a noise disruption to all of us that live in the area, which is residential not commerical.
This does not service, improve or beatuify the current location for this community in any way. We need new shops, a post office, definitely more police, any small business, practically anything expect a religious building. As a shift worker I don't need bells ringing while I'm trying to sleep. This would make me want to sell up and leave. So I ask how does this serve me? I'm working for one of the big miners in Perth. I pay my rates, am respectful to my community and spend my wages in the area. If this was to go ahead I'm selling and going to live and spend my money somewhere else. So ask yourself what kind of community and standard of living will the future Maddington have if you do approve this.

I oppose this also we don’t need mosque but a more friendly playground area as well as a descent shopping centre. Why can’t the playground area has a cycle path with road signs, traffic lights etc to teach the young kids in road safety & east maddington school can use it, more updates playground with exercise yard the council to have more programs at the park I know mills park gets the attention at the skate park but nothing descent for the kids as the trouble kids have been doing damage 2 cars that go near the skate park. We need it more friendly & safe, clean by the council on a regular basis like mills park & harmony fields. Family friendly restaurants & cafes also as maddington isn’t well known to have any of these at playgrounds.
The council needs to attract young families to the area not a mosque which will park on residents verges once the carpark is full, I used to shop at the centre but since I saw the way the management were treating the shop owners & they weren’t fixing the potholes in the carpark, it turned me away from it & had no choice but to go to the main shopping centre. Even chicken treat was great.
Harmony fields is great but needs something near the primary school.
So think of the families not a mosque!!

I OPPOSE THIS! Please consider that there are so many places of worship in Maddington and surrounding suburbs as it is. A place of worship in this location will cause more traffic and problems! Not just parking problems either and I cannot see this being welcomed in this area- this is proposing taking away the only shops and pub close by. There will be a lot of complaints about this I understand exactly why. What most of us that are actually living in Maddington have been asking for is a shopping complex! There used to be a hairdresser, a bottle shop, a butcher, a cafe ect we need this back! We are asking for this back! Please do not approve this for a place of worship. Maddington community will not appreciate having our only shopping centre bulldozed down for yet one more place of worship. If this was cleaned up and renovated and more shops open this would bring the whole community back together. Maddington can be what it used to be, and A place of worship would only bring the people of the same faith together- not the whole community like a shopping centre would.

I oppose this,
Maddington Village needs a proper shopping centre like it was before when woolworths, farmer jacks were there not another church.
A place of worship that requires prayers a few times a day sounds like a Muslim church,we don't need that at a shopping complex,we need a shopping centre not hearing prayers via a microphone a few times a day.We want peace not put another religion put on us when its not asked or wanted.
Upgrade it to a shopping complex so the people of Eastern maddington can thrive again like before. Its bloody ridiculous idea to have another place of worship.
It's a shopping complex so it should stay that way nothing else.
So keep it as a shopping complex.

I oppose this, there is already too any issue with parking, especially around the time school starts and finishes for the day. It would become to dangerous for the kids. Half the time there isn't even a traffic warden.
The community needs another shopping centre close by so they don't have to travel so far to get basics. We don't need another mosque close by. The noise level I assume will be high also.

I oppose this, this will create havoc on demand for parking, there already is a high demand for parking on the area as it is and this will create further issues with parking, plus will also noise polution to the residents in the area with call to prayer playing multiple times per day over a PA system. It will also cause additional traffic to the area with a school being close by and create danger to the school children on their journey to and from school. A place of worship such as this should in my opinion not be placed close to a residential area. Please place this in an area not so close to residential homes.

Occupancy permit - Two Storey Apartment Building

The sewer vent pipe at the back of the building doesn’t go up over the roof line, it is only about 12’ off the ground. This is not to code surely.

The back top Veranda fencing/ railing does not have a strengthener in the middle which could allow the slats to open up when leant apron allowing someone to fall though.

Uncertified building permit - Alterations to Existing Building

This development is so dangerous and should never have been passed. It will be interesting to see how many near misses the people living in the original house have when using the now unsafe placing of the front door directly onto driveway traffic.
This is beuaurcy at its best. Move the original front door that was safe, because an R code says you have to see the driveway from the front door and put it right on the driveway so it's a safety issue but at least it meets the R code. Well done to you all, but you won't be stuck renting it I guess or living near it.

Certified building permit - Double Storey Dwelling - REFUSED

Cars fly around the bend from Wheatley onto Verna making it dangerous for households to get safely out of their driveways on Verna between Wheatley and Hicks. Being the closest to the bend, with no house currently on the corner, we can see a bit. Once a house goes on the corner we won't be able to see at all, making it extremely dangerous for us and our neighbours to get out of our driveways. It's an accident waiting to happen. While we don't have an issue with a house being built there what we need to know is what measurements will be put in place to ensure our and our neighbours safety from cars flying around the bend with us being blinded from oncoming traffic? Thanks.

Demolition permit - Full Demolition

When demolishing this property will the existing boundary fencing be retained? This property is located directly next to a public park with a children’s playground. For safety reasons there should be clear & stable fencing sectioning off the demolition area from the playground.

Planning Development Application - 16 (Lot 1) Stephen Street Orange Grove - Use Not Listed (Truck Lay Bay associated with the USG Boral Quarry)

This proposal is clearly not in line with the "Objectives of The Zones" as written in TPS 6 of the City of Gosnells for the General Rural Zone which this site is located in. The use is not a permitted use by the Scheme" as shown in the Zoning table. It is an "X" use under that table ("means a use not permitted by the scheme")
The site has already had an "industrial like" fenced area created on it recently with Cyclone mesh fencing and shade cloth screening. The entry and exit are sign posted in the road reserve and two demountable structures plus bitumen hardstand have been installed. This use is a mining related use and should be built on the quarry lease area.
Truck movements are at odds with vehicle, pedestrian and equine movements in this area and should be managed to restrict their impact on approved uses in the area.. Past history of trucks in the area suggests that early morning movements and late afternoon movements are at odds with the uses we have mentioned and dont take any account of the school children movements in the area.
