736 Old Tully Road Djarawong QLD 4854
Primary Dwelling inc P&D - Class 1a - 260m2 (OSF included in DA0187/24)

Council appear to often grant housing on what was preserved A class agricultural land. Ag designations carried an overarching Qld government directive in regards to subdivision to retain a minimum 50 acres.
Council continue to provide 100% free DA's, in return raising rates of existing ratepayers to cover the financial impact of reduced income with ad hoc planning waivers.
A component of DA's was traditionally set aside for recreational areas to cater for increased growth, yet cost cutting by not recouping rightful DA fees has seen a reduction of open space. The community parklands (previously set aside by forward thinking Councillors), continue undeterred to being filled with trees to save on fuel and mowing/slashing costs.
DA's also contributed towards road maintenance to the nearest centres, in return consideration has Council given to the ever increasing impact of traffic by the patchwork housing approach over the preceding months on this rural Old Tully Road.
The safety factor alone is of grave concern with the rat running at excessive speed and a deteriorating service road.
Council had neglected on a prior occasion to accept a Federal government initiative to declare the Old Tully Road as a highway of National Significance and the funding and maintenance that attracted. That prudent opportunity would have afforded a network suitable for traffic movement at the times the Bruce Highway is cut between Tully and El arish by vehicle accidents.
I urge Council to consider road contributions as a necessity in the higgedly piggedly growth of random homes in the rural ag areas of the Shire.
Without a doubt, the flow on to wildlife and stock has certainly been felt by such decisions, in point increased road deaths of pademelons and echidna on the Djarawong section
Previous months alone an increase in unrestrained roaming dogs with the growth of lifestyler semi acreage blocks where dogs bark all day or roam the district.

Operational work for an Advertising device (erection of temporary advertising sign 3m x 2m)

This sign is promoting a business which is not operating at this sight and is currently in the Environment Court. Not a suitable business for this location as strenuously advised by the residents and businesses of Mission Beach. It has also been erected without prior approval.

It should be removed until this matter is settled in the courts one way or another. Otherwise this is nothing more than false and mischievous advertising.
