There are 2 large native gumtrees in the backyard. One will need to be removed for second dwelling, which I do not object to. The one bordering neighbouring property is outside the guidelines of been too close to a dwelling for removal. I object to gumtree bordering 15 Adella Ave been removed. It attracts many native birds, lorikeets, bats, galahs, cockatoos, also ocassionally black cockatoos & tawny frogmouths nest yearly in those trees. It also provides shade & reduces heat Island effect of unnecessary land clearing.
Dear Officer, I would like to review the contents of the Application such as the location of the construction and the details of the works planned. Could you please arrange to share the diagrams and the details? As I stay very closer to the proposed site of the site, I am concerned about the Traffic, HSE aspects and the economic value of property I own in the area. Best Regards
This is very near to school. There is already a childcare infront of this site.
During school hours, it is difficult to cross this stretch . With this new proposal traffic will only get worse.
The entrace should not be to flushcombe road but the rear section of site.
@Council please dont make traffic worse.
This is a Residential St with lots of families. Already kerbside is full with parked cars. Dont allow this to happen. Roads will get congested with less parking. This is definitely not the area for a group home.
Hi, is this a single or double storey dwelling?
Hi Kim and Bernard, has this issue been solved?
Cheers!
So in need of amenities in this area
Would be greatly welcomed
Hi,with this so close to the school and the main road to the shops.
i hope there is not just one entrance or exit on to rooty hill road as it it already hard to get into our houses on a normal day without these units and school kids from rooty hill north has so many little kids running to school, getting dropped of this will cause an accident with the extra 32 residents to be added to the street.
I support this application. However, the medical centre should start at 10am and stay open till 10 pm on weekdays and during weekends they start at 7am and close at 10pm.
The reason I specifically talk about timing as we currently don't have any GP open till late and we have to go to hospital after 5pm or to Other bulk billing GP in Blacktown as most GP in Glenwood stop taking patients after 5pm.
Council should ask applicant to confirm their opening timing that supports community while considering the application as no point having another medical centre with same opening and closing time as current medical centre.
Also, instead of 9 GP room the medical centre should allow for x-ray & ultrasound & pathology & pharmacy room as well as physiotherapy as we don't have those facilities in Glenwood. Current medical centre don't have full-time physio or radiology or pathology services in Glenwood so instead having 9 GP room the centre should reduce GP room to allow for other services that benefit community.
I also support dentist room in the facility.
Council must consider the fact that some medical centre in Glenwood started charging out of pocket which means we have to travel to Stanhope Gardens or Blacktown or Kellyville for bulk billing so having new medical centre which bulk bill patients will immensely support and help local community.
Thank you
I live in Carrington St and there is already many centres close by. Someone has mentioned there is already one in Abigail St being built and another also in Carter Street 5 blocks from number 9 about to commence. We understand that child care is important but this is very big for the area. Council needs to review the size and adequacy of the car park and streetscape
There is already a childcare being built on 11 Abigail St and 19 Carter Street not even 200m away. This will make it even more busy and is twice the size of the other two. There will be lots of extra traffic at peak times. and with upto 132 cars arriving during peak times how does a 22 car park centre meet the requirement. 22 car park spots is not even enough for the staff let alone the families. This centre is too big for the area. The council DCP requires alot more car park spots which is required for the safety of the children and local residents.
I don't understand what's the issue with some residents with the carpark. They could be part of the NIMBYs who are anti development. It's not like every single kids and toddlers is driving a car to the centre or their mum/ dad would be parking their cars there the whole day spying on their children.
The local community in Blacktown usually has high birth rate and thus this justify the need for new childcare facilities, and more carpark does not make sense. Rather have the spaces for building new homes.
This child care is too big and is more the size of a small school.
The car park is too small for this childcare.
A child care center of this size is not in keeping with the street scape.
Although it is close to railway line it is out of character and scope.
A child care for 132 kids will require over 45 car park spots and they have only proposed 22?
The number of car parks is insufficient for a childcare of 132 kids. The DCP requires significantly more to cater for off street parking
That will be interesting. On a busy 6 lane main road between two sets of traffic lights less than 100 metres apart with complex routines. Also with stationary traffic on the roadway for much of the peak time, close to or more than the speed limit at others. Just to complete the deal let's add a school zone. Not smart.
There is already another childcare facility planned for 16-18 Advance Street. This would mean there are two large childcare facilities on the same street.
There is a proposed road on 79 St Albans Rd Tallawong , which is in line with Lilburn st opposite , so no room for a Culdesac .
There are some building wastes left in the pathway, in front of 10 & 14 Lucy St, obviously, the building wastes were left over from the 12 Lucy St builder. I hope the builder of 12 Lucy St can clean the pathway in front of 10 & 14 Lucy St ASAP.
If the issue for this project not starting already is due to an adjacent neighbour not allowing the developer onto their property to cut down the big gum tree that over hangs onto that neighbours property can council make the developer leave the last lot empty and turn into a little park for the community to enjoy?
That way the beautiful tree can stay, the neighbour cant stop the development from happening and the entire community can benefit with a new park and a widened road.
Just a suggestion so this project can happen already!
What is happening with this development?
When will the work begin?
Who is the developer?
Would be great for the community if this development could start already.
would be even better if the entire connor street became a double lane street instead of what it currently is.
There are too many half roads in riverstone that are too narrow! The road needs to be made to fit cars parked on the street as well as cars driving down the street (garbage trucks etc). Council should not be allowing develops to happen unless they are double roads. It is causing problems in other streets as is already.
Hi Kim,
Please contact me bjrgamiao@gmail.com. Bathla now is saying end of November 2023 but still not final.
Bernard
This whole LOT/House on 41 piccadily st has been so painful to all residents of connor St for more than a year now but there is no indication from council or developer as to what is the way forward or what is happening to all these trees or subdivisions and when the street is going to get widened .These trees are nothing but a nuisance creating mess and hazard to vehicles as well as people. If its not to be developed at least the council needs to maintain (these wild LOTs ) or get them maintained by the owner/developer with trees almost falling on street.
