This is a residential area.
It’s concerning that residential properties are bought up en masse and then submissions are made to rezone the area in order to circumvent planning requirements for a residential area. This is a quiet residential neighbourhood.
Current plans will increase traffic congestion, noise and affect amenity in the area without consideration to the current residents.
The last extension of Carramar NH ignored requirements to prevent overlooking of neighbouring properties, was signed off by Noosa Council prior to these details being met and still to this day have not been satisfied, years later. There is low confidence in due process.
There are already large sites cleared on Mckinnon Drive for aged care residential development lying vacant. We do not need to rezone an existing residential area when there are other sites in the Shire approved for development.
