Council should not be considering tree removal in any way - tree pruning should be considered but not complete removal. The area has already been flattened with the north east link. Limited canopy trees remain, the natural shade and benefits canopy trees provide to surrounding homes, streetscape and people are so beneficial - to have these removed simply because they’re in the way should not even be considered.
