This tree has had a fenced off barrier around it for several years.
The Strata Body had been notified by City of Sydney Council since it became evident there was a problem
and instead of the Strata Body of Trio dealing with the measures needed to retain this tree it has ignored all to save $$
As one of many along the boundary of Trio, on the Booth St side of the property, these trees have historical significance as a grove.
Removing this tree will interfere with the dynamics of the row as each tree has its stability, to significant extent, reliant on one another.
This tree's role in the environment, as well as the streetscape, and history of the previous site as Princess Alexandra Hospital, needs to be acknowledged and as such the Strata Body needs to do what would be required to retain this tree.
Removing it places all others in the stand at future risk. Perhaps that's the intention--to improve views!!
