The proposed 285 dwelling sub-division at 290 - 290A North Boambee Road (0086/26DM), together with the proposed 159 dwelling sub-division (0276/26DA - Manufactured homes site), will increase the traffic flow on the North Boambee Road (NBR) and thereby increase the traffic using the overcrowded NBR - Pacific Highway intersection. The NBR has only one entry / exit route to the Pacific Highway causing issues for bush fire, flooding, emergency and evacuation purposes. The roundabout at the NBR - Lakes Drive intersection is regularly flooded which already causes access problems for the growing Lakes Estate residential sub-division residents, and the retirement and Health Care centre and, therefore, will impact the proposed sub-divisions. Note - I understand that this is a modification to a previous application.
