Is any reason required for removal of a canopy tree? The tree in question provides shade to the entire front yard, and vital habitat for wildlife and insects. Will it be concreted for car parking?
Wheeler Street is rapidly being denuded of all mature trees as single dwellings on full size blocks are replaced with multi dwellings and single homes that are built virtually boundary to boundary, condemning us to an increasingly hostile environment where soon the only solace will be found under street plantings.
