This morning, 25 December, I received 3 planning alerts for 206 David Low Way. I would like to raise the following concerns:
1. I was unable to access documents for 2 planning alerts (OPW 23/0071.01 and RAL 23/006.01)
2. In respect of this planning alert (MCU 23/0062.01):
a) The Pool and adjacent patio area is within the 1.5 setback. A structure has then been added the boundary side patio area beside the pool that brings the nearest point to the common boundary well within the 1.5 metre required setback.
b) Although not mentioned in this application a structure has been added to the rooftop that we suspect exceeds the 8 metre restriction for height of dwellings. Whilst it is largely out of view, by being above the 8 metre limit and by council allowing this structure, it sets a height precedent that could be relied on by others to restrict views of our property.
c) I feel both these changes should have been submitted to Council before being constructed as they do not impact on the main building.
Prior to receiving this notification, my husband and joint owner, had contacted council and asked for a call to discuss these items from Building and Plumbing. The council reference is RM2025/29288.
