This house has a lot of history & I will be very sad to see it & the garden demolished. I have known two of the long term residents of the house.
The existing house is both unique & consistent with the heritage character of Hurlstone Park. It should be possible to extend the house, rather than demolish it.
Any renovations or new buildings should be consistent with the heritage character of the streetscape. If an unsympatheic building is erected it will have a significant impact on the whole street, which has many character houses & is only two blocks long.
