Sadly I have observed that maintenance has been lacking for many years
to this large home that would have complemented Hill Street. The reasons for removal
are that it is structural unsound or that TRC considers the cost of repair exceeds reasonable expectations.
Houses to both east and west have been restored and maintained so the removal of a listed house of character will alter the street's and area's character value. I query approval of this removal.

Sadly it appears that all that needs to happen to get around neighbourhood character requirements of our council is to let these once beautiful old homes fall into disrepair. Then the developers move in and change a character neighbourhood completely. I feel deeply sorry for the people who have purchased homes in the area, and spent so much time, love and effort to maintain the character and charm of these delightful historical homes.
