There are 2 large native gumtrees in the backyard. One will need to be removed for second dwelling, which I do not object to. The one bordering neighbouring property is outside the guidelines of been too close to a dwelling for removal. I object to gumtree bordering 15 Adella Ave been removed. It attracts many native birds, lorikeets, bats, galahs, cockatoos, also ocassionally black cockatoos & tawny frogmouths nest yearly in those trees. It also provides shade & reduces heat Island effect of unnecessary land clearing.

There are currently tawny frogmouths & loorikeets nesting in gumtrees on this property. Under NSW legislation neither of the 2 gum trees are allowed be removed until baby birds are fully fledged & left nesting site. Request that if trees are removed that it be done outside of breeding/nesting seasons in line with state legislation for protection of native birds.
