Another request to remove a jacaranda tree from a property. These trees are great for wildlife, pollination and a community canopy. I note the description of the request states low amenity, is this to the homeowner owner or community? This tree was likely there when the property was purchased so the owners were aware of the jacaranda when purchasing and potential requirements around upkeep. I note that the homeowners are requesting an offset instead of planting another tree…soon Bondi will become barren. Please consider other options.
117 Curlewis Street, Bondi Beach NSW 2026
- Description
- Remove one (1) Jacaranda from back yard next to right corner of building. This tree is in an unsuitable and unsustainable location - its trunk is impacting the corner of the building and lifting the surrounding pavers, the damage will worsen over time. The tree has poor structure, low retainment value, and contributes minimally to the amenity of the area. As there is insufficient greenspace on the property, the replacement tree requirement is to be satisfied with one (1) Offset Tree Planting payment.
