Croydon Conservation Society is ethically opposed to tree removal from private land, since we are falling below the threshold of greater than 30 % tree cover for our Municipality to be livable, with trees providing shelter, from excessive heat, shelter through wind abatement, habitat for our dwindling local species and in terms of human health trees improve our wellbeing and overall health through biophilia.
12 trees off one block is overkill, and based on that CCS objects to this application.
