I am a local to the area and object to this application for a permit for the above mentioned application. I don't think it's appropriate for the residential area to have an exclusive place of worship that will incur high traffic to this residential site. This area is already very busy during the week for community access to the primary school and kindergarten, but this is a valued and inclusive contribution to the needs of our community. Adding to this high level of traffic for something that isn't contributing to the Highton community doesn't level out the negative impact this proposal would bring; early Sunday morning traffic, decreasing the value of surrounding properties, and leaving a residential property vacant at times outside of worship. There are already other places and properties dedicated to this purpose. This property should be kept for residential purposes as intended, especially at a time when the community need is better access to housing solutions.
