I support this application. However, the medical centre should start at 10am and stay open till 10 pm on weekdays and during weekends they start at 7am and close at 10pm.
The reason I specifically talk about timing as we currently don't have any GP open till late and we have to go to hospital after 5pm or to Other bulk billing GP in Blacktown as most GP in Glenwood stop taking patients after 5pm.
Council should ask applicant to confirm their opening timing that supports community while considering the application as no point having another medical centre with same opening and closing time as current medical centre.
Also, instead of 9 GP room the medical centre should allow for x-ray & ultrasound & pathology & pharmacy room as well as physiotherapy as we don't have those facilities in Glenwood. Current medical centre don't have full-time physio or radiology or pathology services in Glenwood so instead having 9 GP room the centre should reduce GP room to allow for other services that benefit community.
I also support dentist room in the facility.
Council must consider the fact that some medical centre in Glenwood started charging out of pocket which means we have to travel to Stanhope Gardens or Blacktown or Kellyville for bulk billing so having new medical centre which bulk bill patients will immensely support and help local community.
