There is currently a Childcare Centre at 66 Bonds Rd that is not at capacity. Therefore there is no need for an additional childcare centre in such close proximity.

This property has many large native canopy creating trees. Demolition of this would contradict current environmental policies in existence. This would even worse the current traffic and congestion felt on bonds road.
There is already an oversupply of childcare in this area with 2 centres, not at capacity, within walking distance. Parking and traffic is also already an ongoing concern here. Please reconsider
What with najis causing all the speeding traffic along bonds and Hannans, safety would be the biggest concern, that and way too much traffic
A brand new childcare centre is welcomed! I am a builder and my wife is a teacher (peakhurst Public). We have three children and surprised at the lack of modern purpose built centres in this area. We would love to see a clean brand new centre in the area for our children that is well resourced with a well maintained environment that supports active play.
This beautiful and unique house is historic to the area and I believe it was once the home of the former Mayor of Hurstville. It was also lovingly restored by the previous owners and would be a huge loss to the area if it were demolished.
Given so much of the area is being bulldozed and replaced with new concrete builds, and there is also a childcare centre only a few doors away from this location, this building should be retained for its unique charm and historical importance.
Furthermore, as we are facing a climate crisis, best practice should be to re-use and utilise existing dwellings rather than demolition and rebuild with CO2 creating concrete. I urge you to consider my comments in your decision.
It's sad to see this house go but we defiantly need a new childcare centre in the area. I recently had to take my child out of the childcare center at 66 Bonds road due to obvious reasons and they have been empty for a long time and recently sold it due to poor management and poor standards. There is a reason why other centres are not at full capacity !!!
This will be great for the area and for parents bringing their children to Peakhurst public school.
