I have seen this DA for 41 Boorawine St, Callala Bay. I understand this is an application for dual occupancy with the driveways of both houses exiting onto Boorawine Street. Boorawine street is a direct thoroughfare from Sheaffe Street to Bay Street, a distance of some 3 km. During weekends and holiday periods Boorawine St is used by walkers, many boating people, yachts and any number of people going to look at the water near the boat ramp. During public holidays and breaks such as Christmas, Easter and school holidays there are often boat trailers queued along Boorawine street to get to the boat ramps. To now have two new driveways adding to that congestion needs to be reconsidered. The development can easily cater for separate driveways exiting onto Watt St, thereby reducing some of the traffic congestion on Boorawine St. It is respectfully requested the location of the driveways be repositioned onto Watt Street.
