Why remove this nice walkway which also serves as a quick route to the local school bus on Tannery Lane? It's too narrow for a road, who would come up with such a ludicrous application?

In answer to David Kay's comments- this "walkway" is not a walkway- it is an official water easement designed to manage potential flooding in the area.
The Council have established the drains in the "walkway" in the case of flooding (which in the past has occurred- presenting a danger to children playing in the flood waters).
In the interests of providing convenient safe walking paths Council have recently completed first class pedestrian footpaths along Taylors lane.
Perhaps David Kay needs to look closely at the application which in no way removes access for a "quick route to the school bus".
Access will still be available to walk through the "walkway"!
