Totally unsuitable use for this property. This is a residential property, in a residential precinct, with limited parking. The road servicing this property is very narrow with poorly formed earth guttering. There WILL be overflow parking onto the street. Council will then be held liable when someone slips and injures themselves when alighting from a vehicle. "Places of worship" should only be allowed in purpose built buildings in suitably zoned areas with adequate parking. The amenity of the surrounding residential family homes will also be irreversibly negatively changed. The proposal should be rejected.

This is one of the last remaining rural areas within Hoppers Crossing and it should be kept that way instead of being developed using the "Places Of Worship" trick. Many people enjoy walking their dogs and riding their bikes along this road instead of being forced to use one of the community centres. Many of the people using this area for recreation do so to escape the ugly urban sprawl that council allows to occur in the area as doing so has a positive effect on ones health. This, and any further similar proposals in the area MUST be rejected on those grounds.
As a resident of Bindowan drive for over 35 years this proposal for a "place of worship" has been attempted before with a property on the other side of the street and was rejected outright by the council.
Bindowan drive is zoned residential and should remain so.
The single lane bitumen road is maintained by vicroads. There is no footpath or concrete curbing and no nature strip which we believe is maintained by Wyndham City. And this is the way residents like it.
Parking on either side of the single lane bitumen road is a problem and if the road becomes congested could become a safety issue.
In planning studies conducted by Wyndham some years ago Bindowan Drive was identified as an area within the Wyndham region as of significant importance and that it should be preserved.
We strongly recommend this application be rejected.
