I am really surprised and disappointed that the application for fencing is after the fact. More so because it was disapproved and was requested to be removed.
The developers are doing everything they can to intimidate the local community with their non compliance and condescension.
I do not want the development to go ahead because of the total destruction of an extremely sensitive area, even though some seem to think otherwise. I’d hate for the situation to end with too little too late.
I am totally against this application and further development of this site.
I hope the council has more sense than cents. Thank you.

It’s a bold and arrogant move for anyone to presume rights they simply don’t have. The Rise group’s assumption of rights to erect signage and fencing is such a move no doubt designed to intimidate residents and potential purchasers into believing this development is a fair accompli. The site, on many grounds, is unsuitable for the proposed development and indeed for most development of any scale. One has only to observe the havoc that’s wreaked when development is allowed on unsuitable sites such as this and many others in South West Rocks. The recent rains have clearly demonstrated that recent development has altered so much of the local landscape that native fauna and human safety, quality of life and indeed, survival for some species is threatened. I have already made the decision to leave South West Rocks because it has broken my heart to see how this beautiful environment is being destroyed.
