$350,000 to build multiple units? These costs are ridiculously low and could not be correct. The last thing we need in the area is more black roofed show boxes adding to congestion and more concrete.

It is OK if it is within the growth zone, but not in General residential area. I agree with Peter
This section of Lalor is increasingly overdeveloped with multi unit blocks. Density of housing is negatively impacting street scape and liveability. This house appears to be an original weatherboard home that is of high street and community appeal. I oppose this development.
In 2017 legislation was changed that even if you live in a NRZ you can now build up to three town houses if your block allows it. Previously it was two. This amendment practically makes the NRZ obsolete. The NRZ original purpose was too keep the neighbourhood to low density housing but high influential people had found a way around this and so this doesn't apply anymore.
This part of Lalor is now becoming like another high density suburb of inner Melbourne. Long term residents don't matter any more. Only new investors and greedy developers matter now.
