As a resident in the Horizon estate i am totally against any blocks backing onto O'neils rd. lots 39 to 42. The streetscape would be ruined, not to mention devaluing the properties in the Horizon estate and the houses already along the highway end of O'neils rd. Houses should front O'neils rd. This design shows me that the developer is trying to go as cheap as possible with NO regard for anybody else. I cannot think of any other street in Withcott or anywhere else where you have to drive past unsightly back yards to get to your house. I bet the developer doesn't, so why should anybody else. Also the entrance to the Pocket is pretty close to a corner on Blanchveiw rd. which could lead to accidents. The hatchet blocks at the top of the block are an absolute disgrace of planning. There again cheap way out. Imagine the cost of getting the services to where you want to build. I feel this letter is a waste of time as nobody thinks of others and the big picture. A lot of things can be done better and more practically with this design.
